A Place Where Mom Truly Thrives

My mom has lived in Assisted Living out of state for 3 years and it was time to make the change to Memory Care. Change is difficult for anyone, but much more so for these patients. I am so happy with the care at The Palace at Weston; they made the transition easy! I can’t say enough about the activities staff! Justin is so creative and his enthusiasm is always at 100%. Trust me, you have never met anyone like him! Whether he is singing (which he does all day long-btw he has a great voice), dancing or telling stories, he is always finding new ways to connect with the residents. They spend the entire day doing a variety of games, sing-a-longs, crafts, trivia, movements and more! All of the senses are stimulated-even smell and tactile with aromatherapy and touching different fabrics. Hilda in activities is so kind and inventive with her games. She has a gentleness which really appeals to these seniors! Both Justin and Hilda are full time-which is unheard of in Memory Care. There is a different professional “Happy Hour” performer every day and a special event for families/residents each month and they are elaborate! Raz Gonen, the manager, is very visible and accessible. His standards are high! He actively seeks feedback from family members and is so easy to talk with. He sincerely strives to make The Palace the best-which it is. The MC is very well staffed with nurses who have a personal connection with the residents. They prioritize keeping them clean and dry which is so important for these patients (if needed, they are checked for “accidents” about every two hours).There are 44 residents and all of the staff know their different needs and personalities. Dementia can contribute to some challenging behavior. I am at the facility just about every day and I am so impressed with the kindness and skill that the nurses demonstrate. You have to see this place to believe it-truly like a five star hotel. The lobby is always staffed with friendly professionals who are very helpful and knowledgeable. They also control the secure doors which keep these patients from wandering. The food is very good and the service is restaurant style. This is a secure, beautiful facility where your loved one is mentally stimulated, kept clean (did I mention daily showers?), safe and nourished. It can be stressful to visit someone in memory care but The Palace has done everything possible to make it pleasant. Complimentary ice cream too! Btw all residents receive an elaborate birthday dinner for ten guests (the food was great and one of our guests is a chef) in one of the private decorated dining rooms. It’s a birthday gift from The Palace.

When my father came here for rehab, I expected good care. What I got was family. They didn't just track his vitals; they tracked his spirit. The therapists celebrated every small win like it was their own. For the first time, I stopped worrying at night. I knew someone was there— The Palace didn't just rehabilitate my dad. They gave our family the greatest gift: peace of mind. Thank You!

The BEST gift our mother gave us was the foresight to plan for her future. And that included long term care. Mom could no longer live at home in early 2017 and so we moved her to The Palace Renaissance where she is thriving. Mom goes out on the two weekly outings and Maggie the Activities Director always sends us pictures. We love attending the monthly family parties (they are amazing), my favorite is Mothers Day! The Champagne fountain this year was fabulous.

The Palace Renaissance is the very best place for my sister to be. There is a great deal of care and attention given to her, and all the other residents, every day, at all moments. A big reason why The Renaissance is special is its Activities Area. What is offered to the residents, again, on a daily basis, is a finely coordinated schedule of physical, sensory and musical events that serve to inspire good health, wellbeing and happiness. From morning stretching, individual games, special Mondays outings and wonderful, varied musical entertainment, each day is full. To the degree in which they’re able to participate, the residents are encouraged to to do so. The Activities Department is crucial, I believe, to the profound health of all the residents. Maggie Miranda is doing all of us a large, heartfelt service by providing the care and attention The Renaissance residents need.

Thank you to The Palace Renaissance -Kendall! Everyone, who works there has been so helpful, friendly and attentive. They are great! Also, thanks to Maggie, the activities director, who makes every holiday feel festive with all the amazing decorations. Not only that, but they involve their residents with many activities including, arts & crafts, games, all kinds of musicians and sometimes they even get to go to a park. I can count on them to care for my mother in a way that I couldn’t and I’m not worrying all the time now. Thank you all again!

My 83 year old father's health decelerated rapidly in December of 2022. My sister, brother, and I are his caretakers, and it took us all by surprise. We had to make the tough decision to move him into an assisted living facility due to his chronic health issues. We asked friends, family, & colleagues about various options while we did our research, albeit in an accelerated timeframe, and were happy to hear that many had given high praise to the Palace for their care and support of family members in the past. We ultimately decided to move Dad into the Palace Royale. Considering the circumstances, the process was fairly seamless, and the professionalism and compassion that the Palace team members exhibited gave us comfort during our time of need. We collaborated very closely with the Director of Customer Service, the General Manager, the Director of Residence Care and her team. Everyone was always very responsive and available via multiple avenues of communication. (Ex: Phone, E-Mail, Text, etc.) as we worked closely to ensure the health and safety of my father. My family was truly appreciative of the support the Palace provided us and we highly recommend their services to anyone that is in need of assisted living for their family members.

Moving my father-in-law into memory care was a very difficult decision for our family to make. Knowing he is surrounded by professionals who are dedicated to his safety, comfort, and quality of life has been an incredible blessing. We are deeply grateful to Raz, Justin, and the entire team for the extraordinary level of care they provide every day. They have exceeded our expectations, and we would wholeheartedly recommend their memory care community to any family facing this difficult journey.
