The award-winning Palace Coral Gables, a premier independent and assisted living community, has been featured as one of three luxury retirement communities in the UK documentary, “The World’s Most Luxurious Retirement Homes.” The series, which premiered this summer on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom, offers an inside look at the world’s most opulent retirement communities. Hal Silberman, a retired doctor, is one of many military veterans living at The Palace, a senior living facility in Coral Gables. The Palace is home to nearly 20 veterans, including Silberman’s longtime friend Jay Ellenby. The two once lived in the same apartment building in Grove Isle in Coconut Grove and became neighbors once again at The Palace.

Palace Royale residents Rosa Busto Pino and Violeta Beltran recently experienced a heartwarming reunion with fellow classmates from Sacred Heart School in Havana, Cuba, after crossing paths at our senior living community.These lucky ladies met in the 1950s and have kept their bond strong for nearly 75 years, calling themselves "The Girls of the Sacred Heart." The lifelong friends gathered once again to celebrate with a joyful tea party hosted by The Palace Royale. The event was filled with laughter and memories of their school days in Havana.Their incredible story was featured on Telemundo!

The Palace at Weston hosted a special event to honor Edwin Jorge, a 9/11 survivor and former Regional Manager of the New York Peace Corps Office. Edwin had been in Building 6 of the World Trade Center when the North Tower collapsed.

In 1980, Coral Gables resident and Israeli native Helen Shaham founded The Palace Group with the dream of setting new standards for senior living communities in Miami-Dade. She began modestly with her first community in Opa-Locka (now sold), followed by another in Homestead, and then Kendall in the 1990s (there are currently four there).

Senior living communities based in Florida took the top spots on Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Aging Services: Senior Housing and Care lists, released Thursday.The Palace Group, based in Miami and founded in 1980, maintained its status from 2023 as the Best Large Workplace in Aging Services

South Florida resident Lou Miller recently celebrated a monumental milestone—his 100th birthday—and WSFL was there to capture the moment! The festivities at The Palace Senior Living were a grand affair, complete with balloon arches, photo ops, live entertainment, custom chocolate bars, and even a special proclamation from the Mayor of Weston.
