Last weekend, The Palace at Coral Gables, a community in Coral Gables, FL, held a Chinese New Year celebration for its residents. “We celebrate Chinese New Year every year. We love celebrations!” said Pamela Parker, The Palace at Coral Gables’ director of entertainment. “[In fact,] we celebrate all holidays—and many have a cultural component.” As such, they’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Ash Wednesday, Israeli Independence Day, Cinco de Mayo and more.

Residents at The Palace at Coral Gables recently celebrated the Chinese New Year/Year of the Rabbit with an intergenerational event. The entertainment included traditional dance routines and a music student presentation from visiting Chinese foreign exchange students and students from the Belen Jesuit Preparatory school studying world languages.

Teams from the Miami-based Palace Group’s communities headed to Fort Myers to lead a hand to Hurricane Ian victims. Organized by The Palace at Weston’s Director of Sales & Marketing Elizabeth Martinez, who spearheaded the collection of donations from residents and the communities, trucks were loaded with tons of much-needed supplies, including pallets of canned goods, water, non-perishable items, baby food, and assistive devices.

The Palace at Weston, an assisted living facility in Weston, Florida, brought more than 700 meals and nonperishable items to the Downtown Fort Myers area today. The Palace worked with the Broward County Sheriff ’s Office and Pembroke Pines Police Department to make this all possible.
