The Palace at Weston Memory Care was featured on NBC6 showcasing the heartfelt reunion between a resident and the horses he trained.

Shirley Lane, a resident at The Palace Renaissance in Kendall, always has been a fashionista. But, now with her memory fading due to Alzheimer’s disease, her loved ones wanted a unique way to preserve many of the outfits she wore to family gatherings.

“Get out and do it,” advises Sarah Wishnia, a 90-year-old fitness enthusiast who lives at The Palace at Coral Gables. The self-proclaimed “gym rat” combines a six-day-a-week workout in The Palace fitness center with salsa dancing and walking. “It’s great to be good to my body and to myself,” she said. “I love it and it’s so much fun.”

The Palace at Weston is proud to be a “Gold” Award winner! Our multi-sensory room in the memory care neighborhood earned top honors during the “Best of 55+ Housing Awards” at the National Association of Home Builders’ International Builders’ Show in Orlando.

Memory fades, but Love is still alive for a longtime married South Florida couple. This is a story of how love stayed alive between a couple who’s been married for more than 50 years. Bob is a Palace Gardens resident. This story was aired on NBC6 on February 14, 2022.

Cub Scout Pack 69 reached out to “Spread the Cheer” of the holidays to residents at The Palace Gardens in Homestead. The Scouts brought homemade holiday cards to residents, sang Christmas carols and all en- joyed hot chocolate and Christmas cookies together.

Congratulations to Maggie Miranda, Director of Activities & Entertainment at The Palace Renaissance! Her 19 years of dedication and commitment was recognized by U.S. Representative Mario Diaz-Balart, who presented her with a flag that had flown over the United States Capitol.
